The host committee for DNC 2024 has partnered with the LGBT Chamber of Commerce of Illinois to assist meeting the DNC’s mandate of greater than 50% of contracting and sub-contracts for DNC 2024 going to minority owned small businesses. The DNC recognizes LGBT owned businesses as vital part of the minority owned business community. Information on contracts and bidding for contracts DNC 2024 will be published on this page, with regular updates. Vendor Fair Construction

DNC 2024 will be hosting a vendor fair for Construction contracts in March of 2024. Date/Location to be announced soon.

DNC 2024 will be hosting a vendor fair for Hospitality contracts in April of 2024. Date/Location to be announced soon.

DNC 2024 will be hosting a vendor fair for Professional Services contracts. Date/Location to be announced soon. 

Contracts to Scale

DNC 2024 recognizes that small businesses aren’t always able to scale to meet the demands of contracts. To reach the goal of diversity, equality & inclusion, contracts are being broken down into smaller parts to aid in parity. 

The opportunity to grow small diverse business is a goal of DNC 2024. The number of available contracts is huge. Your company need not “do it all” to be awarded a contract. If, for example, you own a small graphic design firm you can bid the design portion only with the printing contract going to another small business. Additionally prime contractors are required to meet the goal of 50% or greater of subcontracts going to small, minority owned businesses. These prime contractors will be at the vendor fairs to answer questions, and help you with their bidding processes. 

The LGBT Chamber of Commerce is excited to be part of the process and help grow our members’ businesses into legacy organizations. Our Chamber will be the clearing house for verification of LGBT owned businesses.

Security Services RFP Now Open

The Chicago 2024 Host Committee (Development Now for Chicago) and the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) recently released a new request for proposal (RFP) for security services for the Democratic National Convention, scheduled to be held in Chicago from August 19 to 22, 2024.

Please note that questions about the Security Services Request for Proposal (RFP) and bidder intent to propose are due by Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 5:00 PM Central Time. Potential Bidders must notify the Host Committee by email at vendors@chicago2024.com of their intent to submit a proposal and include all questions regarding the RFP. Please indicate “Security Services Questions and Intent to Bid” in the subject line.

Final proposals must be submitted by Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 5:00 PM Central Time.

Credentialing Services

The Chicago 2024 Host Committee (Development Now for Chicago) and the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) released new requests for proposal (RFP) for credentialing services for the Democratic National Convention which will be held in Chicago from August 19 to 22, 2024. The DNCC will issue credentials to grant access to convention activities for attendees, including delegates, alternates, vendors, media, staff, volunteers, and program participants.

The Host Committee and DNCC are seeking comprehensive proposals from qualified individuals or companies to provide design and artwork services, platform and scanning services, and secure printing services.

Questions about the RFP and bidder intent to propose are due by Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 5:00 PM Central Time. Potential Bidders must notify the Host Committee by email to credentials@chicago2024.com of their intent to submit a proposal

Final proposals must be submitted by Wednesday, February 26, 2024 at 5:00 PM Central Time.

Transportation Services

The Chicago 2024 Host Committee (Development Now for Chicago) and the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) released a Request for Transportation Services for the Democratic National Convention which will be held in Chicago from August 19 to 22, 2024.

The Host Committee and DNCC are seeking comprehensive proposals from qualified individuals or companies to provide secure, accessible shuttle services to and from all DNCC contracted hotels to Convention proceedings at the United Center and shuttle service to and from DNCC delegate hotels to McCormick Place for Convention-related meetings. Vendors may bid on one or both of the foregoing services.

Questions about the RFP are due by Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 5:00 PM Central Time.

Potential Bidders must notify the Host Committee by email to vendors@chicago2024.com of their intent to submit a proposal by 5:00 PM Central Time on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

Final proposals must be submitted by Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 5:00 PM Central Time.
